They are now certified in Crime Scene Management, Leadership Skills, Firearms and Survival Tactical Training, Defensive Driving, Disaster Preparedness, Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, Investigative Interviewing, Initial Investigations, Initial Damage Assessment, Shelter Management, Amateur Radio Operator and Motorcycle Operations, Cyber Crime, Email and Cell-phone Forensics, Use of Force and Conflict Management, Court Process and many more.

Do the Municipal police provide escort services?
  A.
The Municipal Police provide escort services to members of the public as long as these services do not affect the daily functioning of the Municipal Police

Do the Municipal police provide private security for local businesses during seasonal celebrations?
  A.
The Municipal Police functions are similar to that of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and its main function is to protect every citizen. During seasonal celebrations (Christmas, Carnival etc.) frequent checks and patrols are undertaken inside and outside the premises of local business.

Can I report a serious crime/offence to the Municipal Police?
    As mentioned earlier, the Municipal Police functions similarly to that of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). So reports of serious crime/offences will be dealt with according to the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
     
  Q. Are the Municipal Police able to deal with reports of school violence/bullying?
  A.
The Municipal Police is able to deal with any reports made by members of the public and to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens.
